City advises of roadworks in Sea Point, Fresnaye, Bantry Bay and Camps Bay

29 January 2026

The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate hereby advises the public of roadworks in Sea Point, Fresnaye, Bantry Bay and Camps Bay. This project forms part of regular maintenance to prolong the longevity of the city’s road network to keep Cape Town moving.

‘The work in Sea Point, Fresnaye, Bantry Bay and Camps is planned to take place from today, 29 January 2026 until Wednesday, 28 February 2026, if all goes according to plan. Working hours will take place between 07:00 and 17:00 from Monday to Saturday, with work taking place at night on some of the roads. Residents and business owners can expect some noise during this time. Our teams will do their best to complete the road resurfacing as efficiently as possible. Residents can look forward to fresh roads very soon.

‘The City’s Road Infrastructure management teams are working hard to get to as much of this important road maintenance work while the sun is still out and the weather conditions favourable. We ask that the public remain patient while these projects are under way as we have a limited period of time during the year where we can push to complete as much of this work as possible,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.
